FINISHED THE ROUTE 8 ENTRANCE RAMP!

I wanted to go back and finish the Route 8 entrance ramp, and I wasn't going to let a little rain stop me.  I knew there was a lot of trash on the left side.  I saw it yesterday.  But it was not safe.  There was no room between me and speeding cars.

Then I had an idea!  If I got on the other side of the guard rail, I could still reach over it and pick up trash!  But I wouldn't be in any danger!

So that's what I did!

And there was another guard rail at the bottom of the hill, so if I slipped and fell and rolled down this hill, I would be stopped from Route 8 traffic by the guard rail!  Perfect!

I spent almost three hours here.  It was a laborous job, because my trash cart was at the light.   I had to keep walking back and forth when my bucket was full.

It sure looked nice when it was done.

I was wet and tired, but I decided to walk across the overpass and see how the southbound exit ramp looked.  All the other ramps were clean

Oh my!  This is how it would look if nobody cleaned it!

The city is putting in a sound wall, so they cut down all the trees, and you can see the trash that you couldn't see before.

Can you believe that?  You'd need a bulldozer and a dump truck to clean this up.

  1. What a mess that side is. Sure makes the side you cleaned stand out.
