MY THIRD OBSTACLE TO CLEANING WILBETH ROAD!
So I'm trying to clean all of Wilbeth Road with decent weather, and first, I see the black bed parts leaning against the fence, and I carry those big things back to the dumpster.
Then I turn the corner at Wilbeth & Virginia, and I see huge amounts of trash, anti-theft devices and a Christmas tree stand that I have to carry to the dumpster.
I'm not even to the dumpster yet, and I see six bags of garbage under a tree, by the sidewalk. Seriously? I just stood there and said, "No way!"
Do you think someone thought, "Hmmm, I could carry my trash to the dumpster, or I could just throw it under a tree. What makes sense? Maybe that lady cleaning up Wilbeth Road will happen by!"
And of course, that's exactly what I did.
The bags were so thin and gross. I can see why someone didn't want to carry them through the snow to the dumpster. But you know what? I don't really enjoy picking up other people's garbage. Ick! Especially baby diapers. Double ick!
I couldn't carry them. The bags were splitting and all the stuff was oozing out. So I loaded the first three bags on my trash cart and headed for the dumpster.
Then I went back and got the other three. What would I ever do without my trash cart? It's truly my best friend!
You can see, I'm still dragging around that heavy Christmas tree stand thing. Ugh!
The little wires inside that make the grabber grab broke.
I figure I picked up around 278,000 pieces of trash with this one, so it worked well for me.
I have at least 100 trash grabbers in my house, waiting for Spring. I'll give away free trash grabbers to anyone who wants to help me pick up trash.
It's not always horrible. Tonight, I cleaned around Garfield CLC, and I walked all of Firestone and all of Beardsley and didn't pick up a single piece of trash!
Hallelujah! What I'm doing is working!
Maybe what you’re doing is becoming contagious. You should put a spare trash grabber in your car or on your cart.
