WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS?

So I was picking up trash as fast as I could on Saturday morning, taking advantage of a relatively nice day.  I was trying to clean all of Wilbeth Road, and I saw these big pieces of something leaning against the fence, right beside the sidewalk. Really?

I don't know what they were, maybe a headboard and footboard,

I was going to ask the city to come pick them up.  They were too big for me.  Then I thought, "What if they fall down and blow into the road?  It could cause an accident."

So I left my trash cart and my trash grabber right there, and carried them all the way back to the closest dumpster.

It was this far . . .

Can you see my trash cart waiting all the way down there?  I kept telling myself, "I can do this.  I can do this."  And I did it.  But I worked up a sweat!

Do you think someone thought a person driving by would want them?  Or maybe the garbage truck would pick them up?

Wouldn't it make more sense to put them by the dumpster so everybody could see them?  Not right out by the sidewalk.

This was the first obstacle I encountered on Saturday that kept me from cleaning all of Wilbeth Road.  Tomorrow, I'll show you the second obstacle.
