I NEEDED A DAY LIKE TODAY . . .

 

Today was so good.  I needed a day like today.

The first area I started to clean didn't start off so well.  I found all this HEAVY stuff in the bushes.  There was a bicycle frame, part of a child's car, and half of a child's tricycle, a window screen and pieces of wood.

Where does all this stuff come from?  And why is it thrown in the bushes?

It took me three trips to the dumpster to get rid of all this stuff, but the rest of the day was uneventful.

I picked up 1,726 pieces of trash tonight, and walked so far, that I'm not sure where I'll go tomorrow.  

I think that is a good problem to have.

I was cleaning all around these bushes, and there was a kitty cat snoozing behind them.  I didn't bother her, and she didn't bother me.

Children were laughing and playing on the playground that is still clean from yesterday.  

Will people ever join in?  Will they ever see how easy it is to keep their sidewalks, parking lots and grassy areas clean?

Oh, I hope they do.  I know they have to notice how nice it looks.

No matter what is going on in their lives, it feels good to live where it's clean.
