I SAW THE FRONT OF A TRUCK ON THE ROAD!!!

I had such a busy day planned today, but as I was driving west on Wilbeth Road, I saw this part of a car blocking the bike lane, and I had to swerve to miss it.

I tried to tell myself it wasn't my problem, but what if it caused an accident?

I had to do something, so I turned around and went back and picked it up.

It was very big.  Pushed forward as much as possible, I still couldn't get the back door of my car closed.

I drove to a customer's office near by, and she helped me carry it to her dumpster.  It was a Chevy grill, and had one of the lights still in it!

Who loses something like this and doesn't miss it?

I showed the pictures to my customer in Barberton, and she said,"That should count as 500 pieces!!!"

No, it's just one piece.  I pick up all kinds of stuff, some big, some small, some really big!

I wish everybody would do this:  if you see something that needs taken care of, take care of it.

It looks like the "Downtown Barberton Litter League" is doing just that.

The mayor of Barberton was asking me how he could start a Keep Barberton Beautiful, and I pointed him to Jacqui at Keep Akron Beautiful, but apparently they have it figured out.

I'm excited to stop by and see what I can do to help them.  They might really like to see how I use my trash cart.

Barberton does a great job keeping their beautiful city clean, but there's always going to be new trash, and picking up litter really is a great way to give back to your community.
