I MISSED TWO SPOTS IN WADSWORTH!!!

 

I drove to the Wadsworth Library this afternoon, and I noticed I missed a spot on the exit ramp from I-76 to 261.  You can see where I cleaned last Tuesday.

Then coming home, I saw another spot I missed right before the entrance ramp.  

I finished returning my books at the library, and I drove home, got my trash cart and drove back.

I picked up all the trash on the exit ramp, but it was scary.  Cars were coming by really fast at the top of the ramp.

I didn't like that at all.

I filled a trash bag, and I piled it on my trash cart.  I pulled it to the other side of the overpass while I worked on the other area.  

I'll ask the City of Wadsworth to come pick up the bags, but I'd like to keep them in one place.

It was horrible!  All this trash was blown into the briars.  Kohl's bags, Giant Eagle bags, Lowe's bags.  What a challenge it was to unhook the plastic from the thorns!

I got it all cleaned up, but it was slow going.  I only picked up 876 pieces of trash in both areas, but they were big pieces and filled two trash bags.

It looks so much better now.

Did you know the thorns on a briar stem point backward?  That's to catch stuff and keep it there forever!  When I grabbed a bag and pulled, it only shredded the bag.  It would not release.  No wonder there was so much here.

I was happy to see there was no new trash, so I think cleaning these ramps was time well spent!
