Trash around dumpsters Is disgusting!

Wilbeth Road in the Akron East neighborhood is heavily traveled.  People driving from the freeway to Arlington Road love to throw trash on Wilbeth.  I need to clean it weekly to keep it nice.

The Wilbeth-Arlington Properties can be seen from Wilbeth.  So can this dumpster.

I complained to my councilman that you could see this dumpster from Wilbeth, and it was an eyesore.  There was more garbage outside the dumpster than inside!

How does this happen?  Kids who live here are told to take out the trash.  They get as close as they can, but they can't lift heavy trash bags to put them inside.  They leave them outside, and some wild animal comes along and rips the bag open.  That's how.

When I drove by Sunday, it looked pretty clean!  I was impressed.  Maybe somebody told the management it had to be cleaned up.

Unfortunately, the dumpsters that cannot be seen from Wilbeth Road look as bad as ever.

Can you imagine living in an apartment complex where you have to look at garbage all over the parking lot?

I cleaned around the dumpsters all summer, and in exchange, the management promised me they would empty the little black trash cans.  They didn't do that, so I stopped cleaning around the dumpsters, and it was the best decision I ever made!  It was too hard!

Watch for my post on the skunk who was on the trash beside the dumpster!  Messes like this attract rats, mice, skunks, raccoons, feral cats, snakes and all kinds of bugs and bees!  

I wish I knew how to fix this problem.  The people who live in these apartments are so nice to me.  I wish I could do more.
