HOW WOULD YOU CLEAN UP A MESS LIKE THIS?

I headed back to Waterloo Road at 9:00 this morning to address the mess I didn't have time for yesterday.

When you glance at this picture it looks kinda pretty . . .  if it was snow.  BUT IT'S NOT SNOW!  It's a couch cushion the brush hog ran over!  All that white stuff is fluff!

Ever pick up fluff before?  It's incredibly hard.  I took a rake with me, but there so many tangled up vines, that didn't work at all.  So I just picked at it with my trash grabber, and my hand, until I had most of it cleaned up along the road.

I didn't get it all, but it looks way better  I figured the birds will use what I left for their nests.

I don't understand why anyone would throw a couch along the road, and I certainly don't understand the person using the brush hog mowing over it!  Doesn't anyone have any common sense anymore?

In spite of being completely exhausted, today was one of the best days yet!

-- I finished Waterloo Road, both sides.  I'm so happy about that  Now it will be easy to keep clean.

-- At least a dozen people yelled out their car windows, "Nice Job!"  One woman stopped and told me I transformed this area!  There's so much traffic on Waterloo Road.  Do you know what that means?  A LOT of people noticed what I did!

--Another woman stopped and asked me if I wanted an army of volunteers to help me!  Oh my goodness YES!   We exchanged information, and I can't wait to have help!  She graduated from Kent State with a degree in Environmental Science, and cleaning up Kent, Akron and Canton are the passions of her club.  Can you believe the good fortune I had in meeting her today?

I have two more posts.  There's too much for one.  Cleaning up this fluff was the probably the hardest thing I've ever cleaned up.  No wait . . . read the next post.
