WHAT HAPPENS IF I RUN OUT OF TRASH TO PICK UP?
Today, I was driving around Firestone Park, and it looks so nice. I drove past the area at Wilbeth & Main that I cleaned yesterday and it was so pretty! I started wondering what I would do if I ran out of trash to pick up. I'll never reach my one million piece goal if I run out of trash!
Those thoughts vanished when I went back to Morgan Park to finish up. The trash that was overflowing last week was still overflowing1 The same trash! I reported it to Ward 5. There was trash all around the trash cans where people tried to throw their garbage away, but couldn't.
This happened at Firestone Park last summer. Not anymore. The trash cans are always emptied regularly.
I glanced across the road, and look at this trash up against the fence! It's almost art! How could there be so much trash that it almost makes a wall?
I crossed the street and cleaned all this up.
I don't think I'll spend much time wondering what I'll do if I run out of trash again. I'LL NEVER RUN OUT OF TRASH!
I picked up 1,777 pieces of trash tonight at Morgan Park and two of the corners at Morgan & Brown! I had this whole area looking pretty good last summer, and I'll have it looking good again, but not for a while.
And by the time I get this area all cleaned up, Waterloo Road, Main Street and Wilbeth Road will be a mess again.
I sure hope I get some help this summer. The people who live in these neighborhoods can see the difference. Nobody wants to live in filth, so how do I get more people to join in?
