THERE ARE NO BAD DAYS PICKING UP TRASH!!!

I was going to say, "I had a really good day picking up trash!"  But then I realized every day is a good day.

I now have 23 two-hour routes on a card hanging in my kitchen.  I pick one, and write the date beside it.  When I clean all 23 areas, then I start over.  It makes it really easy to figure out where I want to go each night, and all 23 areas will be relatively clean.

As I was leaving my house, I saw a baby bird on my patio.  What a sad looking little thing it was!  Stupid move to fall out of the nest without your feathers!

I didn't know what to do.  I got down on my hands and knees and talked to him for while, and oh my goodness!

He thought I was his Mamma!

What a big mouth a baby bird has!  Wow!  Almost scared me!

I talked to him way too long, and then he hopped away into the bushes.

His real Mamma didn't like me messing with her baby, so I got in my car and headed to Lover's Lane & Brown.
I cleaned this whole area, and there are people driving by, walking by, riding by on bikes.  It's Grand Central Station all the time, and that's why there's so much trash.

These two men were playing loud music and laughing at something super funny the whole time I was on this corner.  I liked their music a lot.

With so many people walking by, you would think someone other than me would care that it's clean.

This is how the whole area was.  Layers of trash.  I picked up dozens of beer bottle caps, a dozen baby diapers, and a fishing pole!  Never found one of those before.

I picked up 1,803 pieces of trash in two hours, and I talked to four people.  I found two big screws, and neverending glass!

After cleaning the Dollar Store parking lot, I headed back to their dumpster with a full bag.  It was locked again.

I understand why they lock it and that's good.  The homeless people pull the bags out of the dumpster and go through them.  That's why there's so much trash behind their dumpster, so good for them.  Keep that from happening and that will cut down on some of the garbage.  Maybe.

I crossed the street and cleaned all around the bus stop, and I realized that this one trash can is the only one in this area.  The only one!  And it's full!

No wonder there's so much trash.  Would people throw trash in a trash can if there was one?  I would like to think they would.  But they won't carry their empty water bottles, empty potato chip bags, and hot dog wrappers on their long walk from the Circle K to their house.  Instead, they will just leave a trail of garbage and think nothing of it.

Things will change.  I can see the change happening.  I'm not sure anybody else can see it, but I can see it.
