I CONQUERED THE CORNER OF HOPOCAN AND WOOSTER ROAD IN BARBERTON!

I seem to have recovered from 7 hours of picking up trash yesterday, so today, I went back to Barberton to work on the corner of Wooster Road and Hopocan.  Every time I drove by that corner, I cringed.

The City of Barberton is so beautiful.  How did this corner get ignored?

This is very funny!  I was working on that spot, and all of a sudden it was very quiet, and I heard a Solo cup bouncing on the road.  I turned to look, and it came right to me, jumped up on the sidewalk.

I hurried up and got my phone and took a picture, and when I reached down to grab it, the wind picked up, and off it went!  Down the street and disappeared.  I am thinking it knew something bad was going to happen to it if I got my hands on it!

I got that nasty mess all cleaned up, and started on the hard part, the trash tangled in the trees and briars!
It was so hard!  Lots of bending and squirming through the branches, but oh my goodness!  Look what I found!
A hundred dollar bill!  I've never found a $100 bill before!  It wasn't even wet, so whoever lost it must have lost it after the rain stopped.

I know exactly what I'm going to buy!  A new trash cart!  Mine is completely worn out.

So I picked all the bags and cups out of the branches.  It was about a block of trees with an opening in the fence where people were walking back and forth.  Nobody said hello.  Nobody said thank you.  But that's okay.  I did it for me.
Now when I'm stopped at the light, I will look over and I won't cringe.

I often see Barberton Police officers parked in this big parking lot, making sure everybody is doing what they're supposed to, and look what I found . . .

Four big bolts in the parking lot!  I'm glad the Police didn't get a flat tire . . . and I'm glad I didn't get a flat tire too!

I picked up 2,709 pieces of trash on this big corner in three hours.

And I actually went back and brought all the trash bags to a good spot so the City of Barberton can come pick them up.

That makes 22 bags of trash they will pick up on Monday morning.

What a difference my efforts made this weekend!  I am so proud that I didn't quit when I felt like quitting.  I just kept counting.  I'm getting closer to my one-million-piece goal!
