I THOUGHT I'D CLEAN THE ENTRANCE RAMP FROM MAIN STREET TO I-76

I thought I'd clean the entrance ramp from Main Street to I-76.  I keep driving up that way, and the areas I cleaned earlier this week are still clean, but the entrance ramp looked really bad.

So I started at the bottom.  What a mess!  Looks like all the trash was mowed over and shredded.  I hate that.

But I got it all cleaned up and I started up the entrance ramp.  There was plenty of room to get off the road, but it was a swampland.  Ick!

It didn't look as bad as I thought.  Maybe somebody has been working on this.

I got to the top, and I realized, NOBODY HAS BEEN WORKING ON THIS.

Typically, I finish what I start.  I honestly thought I'd finish this entrance ramp tonight.

Uh no.  Not happening.  I was sick of the endless trash.  Sick of the cars racing by at 65 m.p.h.  Sick of the mud and swamp smell.

And I realized I needed more bags.  LOTS MORE BAGS.

I picked up as much as I could stand, but I didn't get done.  And that's probably okay for an area like this.  It won't stay clean.  Too many people dump all their trash out of the car before they get on the freeway.  No idea why, but nothing is going to stop them.

Here's a view from the top.  It definitely looks better.
I filled five bags, and they were so heavy, I had to leave them where they are.
There's three bags on the ramp, and two bags, plus a whole bunch of other stuff at the bottom.  Daniel at Keep Akron Beautiful is so good about picking up the bags when I email him.  I couldn't do this if I had to drag the bags back to my car.

I picked up 1,678 pieces today, and even though I'm disappointed I didn't get it done, I will be super happy tomorrow when I do get it done.
