IT'S SO HARD WHEN THERE'S NO TRASH TO PICK UP!!!
I was out walking up and down streets for 3 1/2 hours tonight. It's so hard when there's no trash, but what a great problem to have!
I went to all the places where there's usually a lot of trash. They were all clean, especially South Jenkins.
I peeked into this drain, and wow! There's all the trash! Somebody must be pushing cans and cups and bottles in the sewer. That can't be good. Where does it go after that? Summit Lake?
This one had all these stinky baby diapers. Right by the sidewalk! Who does something that disgusting? That person doesn't deserve to have a baby.
And how about this mess from a fast food restaurant? They couldn't find a trash can? They had to dump it all on the side of the road?I turned the corner at Jenkins & Virginia, and saw there was a tree down, covering the sidewalk. As I was walking around it, I saw a couple of bags from the liquor store and a liquor bottle that wasn't smashed yet. So I kept going in this area, looking for the rest of the bottles. I found them.
I knew I was walking too much, but when I saw the dumpster in the distance, I hurried to it.I needed to empty my bag of stinky baby diapers. I couldn't hardly breathe! Ick!
This was the most litter I found, so tomorrow, I'm going to an area I've never been to before. I'm doing too good here. I'll never reach my goal if I don't have trash to pick up.I was all by myself here, and a white jeep drove by slowly. Then it stopped. Then I saw backup lights, and I was a little nervous.
The woman driving had a great big smile, and she said, "Do you remember me from last summer?" I told her I did.
I managed to pick up 2,160 pieces tonight.
I'm excited to work in a new area tomorrow.
Very nice to got a tip! That was very thoughtful of her! Great job Debbie! Debby
ReplyDeleteOver 2000 pieces is a good amount! Although it took 3 1/2 hours to find!
