I WAS DEHYDRATED TONIGHT!
After work, I went back to Arlington to continue south. I made up a nice big bottle of water and left it on my counter. It didn't take very long for me to feel dehydrated. The rule is, "If you are thirsty, it's already too late."
It looked like rain, so I didn't want to go back home, and I didn't have any money with me, so I couldn't buy any water.
I continued cleaning the trash out of the tall grass. Look how much was in this one spot!
People think if you can't see it, then it's not hurting anything. But garbage is still garbage, attracting pests and disease. It's gotta go!
This spot was right beside a bank drive through window!I don't go into the tall grass because of ticks, but can you imagine how much more there is in the tall grass. I pick up what I can reach with my trash grabber.
I didn't want to quit, but I was afraid I might faint, and in the middle of this great big parking lot, I saw a bottle. Water, of course! That made me even thirstier! But look . . . it's surrounded by plastic filters. How gross is that? The entire parking lot was clean except for this crazy mess.
I picked it up and it was half full of liquid. And when I looked closer, it was also half full of ripped checks!People are so weird. I'm not even going to try to figure out why somebody would leave half a bottle of water in a giant parking lot with all their filters around it and fill it up with torn up checks.
I only picked up 1,741 pieces of trash tonight, but that's because I cut it short. I had to come home and drink some water. The dogs were happy I was home early. We always go to the school so they can play ball after I pick up trash. I'm so grateful the custodians at this school pick up the trash so my dogs can play without eating something that might make them sick.
Tomorrow, I won't forget my water.
It's just hot enough you would dehydrate quickly. Glad you got home safe.
