ONLY TWO PICTURES TODAY. FORGOT MY PHONE!
I had five areas to clean today. The first one only had 115 pieces. The second one had a lot: 1,453 pieces. The third 590. The fourth 710. And the last place was new, east of Arlington Road. I saw it was messy when I was at the pizza shop. I could go back tomorrow and pick up another bag full. I picked up 1,805 there.
This kitty cat followed me around for a while, hoping I would give it some food, I guess. She was a bold little thing!
I saw this mess of garbage beside a dumpster in the parking lot. Steaks, pork chops, sausages . . . all spoiled, I guess. Who lets expensive food like that go bad?I met an interesting man on a bike at Wilbeth & Arlington. He said, "Who do you work for?" I said, "Nobody. I'm a volunteer." He said, "I'm new in Akron. I've never seen so much trash and broken glass, and people will kill you for no reason."
I said, "Well, please be careful."
Later, when I was cleaning the new area on the other side of Arlington, here he came again. He said, "Oh my goodness! I saw you two hours ago! Don't get murdered."
He left, and I was thinking, "The only person I'm afraid of is you!" Why doesn't he start picking up trash? Then he wouldn't haven't anything to complain about.
I picked up 4,673 pieces of trash today, and I'm guessing I was out 5 hours. I had to go back home to change clothes. I was too hot, and I left my phone on the counter. My timer was going off when I got home.
Today was a very good day! I'm only 7,000 pieces away from my goal of one million pieces!
That’s a lot of trash you picked up today Debbie! Thanks for all you do!
