TONIGHT WAS ALMOST UNEVENTFUL . . . ALMOST!

Tonight, I continued where I left off yesterday on Wilbeth Road.

I was out for four hours and picked up 4,191 pieces of trash, so it was a very good night.  No domestic violence, but one scary thing did happen.

I was walking east on Wilbeth, and this tiny pink puppy came wiggling up to me.  Cutest thing I ever saw.  It looked like a baby pig!  And it had sparkling blue eyes.  She was no more than a foot long!

There was a woman working in the yard, and I asked her if it was her puppy.  She said, "Not my dog," and she went inside her house.  I couldn't believe it.

Wilbeth Road is such a busy road!  I was so afraid this little guy was going to get run over.  It wiggled out onto the road, and I held my breath!  The cars stopped, and it came back onto the sidewalk.

I was trying to figure out what to do.  Should I take it home?  It had a pink collar on, so obviously somebody loved her.

Just then, a white SUV drove in, and the woman in the passenger seat said it was her dog.  Hallelujah!  The last thing I need is a tiny pink puppy!  But shame on these people for not making sure their dog was safe.

I continued on my way.

This area looked like they were waiting for me to come by.  What a mess!

And I stepped in gum.  I hate stepping in gum.
I saw this car part by the sidewalk, and I pick up car parts, but it was all greasy.  Thank goodness, it looked like it was something they needed.

Can you imagine trying to work on your car that close to the road? That would be terrible.

I found a bunch of coins tonight, more dimes and nickles than  usual.

It was very hot, and I'm very tired, but what a great night.  I haven't picked up over 4,000 pieces in one night for a while.
