TONIGHT WAS A CRAZY NIGHT!!!

 

Tonight was crazy!  I went to Arlington & Archwood, and I planned on cleaning all four corners of this intersection, but I didn't even get to the worst corners!  I cleaned two of the four corners and talked to a lot of people about the Channel 3 story.  The lady at the Circle K watched it on my phone and told everybody who came through the driver through!  I could hear her!  It was super fun, but I didn't take any pictures, and I only picked up 2,379 pieces.

I was almost done with the second corner, and I heard this racket coming down Arlington.  Never heard a sound quite like that before.  

This silver car must have gotten a flat, and the driver kept going until the rubber tire was completely gone!  Wow!  That has to be really hard on the pavement!  Not to mention the wheel!   How is the wheel still round?

And while I was looking at that, I heard another unfamiliar sound.

A person in a scooter/wheelchair thing was across four lanes of traffic, and I could hear him crunching through trash on the sidewalk!

I've seen him before, and he waved at me. 

I crossed the street, and this is what he was navigating through!  

I feel so bad for people who have walkers, or need a wheelchair and have to try to get through garbage on the sidewalk. 

I got that all cleaned up, and I looked at the next block ahead.  Why is all the trash on the grass?  Did the wind blow it up there?  Or did somebody pick it up and put it there?  

If somebody picked it up and placed it on the grass, why didn't they place it in a garbage bag or a bucket?  

That's crazy! 

The last thing I found was this plastic bag full of something.  I thought it might be some kind of generic cereal or dog food, but it was stuffing.  It looks like the kind of stuffing in a car seat.

Have you ever seen anything like this?  It was real dusty, so I didn't look at it very hard.

Tomorrow, I'll continue here and try to clean up all the trash on the other two corners.  

Where did all this new trash come from?  The holiday weekend?   

I just cleaned all four corners a week ago.
