WHAT AN INTERESTING NIGHT!
Tonight was such an interesting night! First, I headed to Wilbeth Road west of the softball stadium. I noticed there was a lot of trash from Main to the towpath the last time I drove by.
Somebody picked up the big pieces. I don't know why somebody would pick up the big pieces and leave all the little stuff, but that's what they did. I walked for an hour and only picked up 272 pieces, but one of them was a big piece of blue plastic, on the other side of the chain link fence.
I couldn't get around the fence. I couldn't get over or under it, so guess what I did?
I pulled that huge piece of plastic through the fence! I was so proud of myself for figuring that out!I don't know what this is. It's plastic, but it looks like a muffler.I find all kinds of car parts on this stretch of road. No idea why. Cars drive super fast, so they must blow off car parts.
I found some toilet paper wrapped around a tree in such a pretty way. I'm sure the wind blew it like that. Never saw that before. This was metal, and laying on the side of the road.No idea what this is either, but it used to be part of a Buick!
I saw trash on the other side of the road, so I waited until there were no cars coming, which is almost never, and I ran across the road, leaving my trash cart.I filled my bucket, and more! I could barely carry all this stuff!
And I found two milk crates. They were busted up, but still, very hard to carry all the way back to the dumpster. And I found a gasoline pump hose! Why? Who would have one of those to throw out?I found a giant glass Tequila bottle. I didn't know they made them this big! It was like a half gallon size! Wow!It was laying on the sidewalk with the jagged bottom exposed. So dangerous.
And I found this thing on the road. What is this?It looks like a metal bolt with a rubber end, maybe part of a wheel? That would definitely cause a flat tire. I'm always shocked at how many nails and sharp objects I find on the road.
This is pretty cool. I find a lot of coins, but today, I found one dark penny in a gravel parking lot that was mostly dirt. It had been there a very long time.I never look for coins. They always find me, but today, I LOOKED for coins. And I kept finding them! I found all the dark ones in that one parking lot!
I picked up 2,112 pieces today, which was pretty good after only picking up 272 pieces the first hour.
Interesting collection.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting the things you find that you don’t know what they are. I wish someone would post what they are! Great night again! Joyce
