LITTERBUGS CAN BE SO CREATIVE!

I always get a kick out of seeing a water bottle with trash inside.

Do people think they are littering less if they only throw out one item instead of two?

I saw all these ketchup packets beside this car.

I would have been upset at the laziness of throwing all the ketchup packets out onto the parking lot if I hadn't noticed this person has more problems than they need.

My first stop was the football field, and I just cleaned the sidewalk yesterday.

I happened to notice this trash barrel was completely overflowing.

There was a game last night, but this trash hasn't been picked up in a very long time.  It was all over the field.

I walked all the way to the other end where the bleachers were, and rolled a trash barrel that wasn't full up to this one, and then I picked up all the garbage on the ground.

I'm going to send pictures to my councilman.  This is not okay to leave such a mess.

I also found fireworks debris.  Has it been here since the 4th of July?  Most likely.

And all the people at the game last night just walked through it?  Most likely.

I found the coach's whistle!  Good grief!  He had to be missing that, but there was so much trash, he never would have found it.
I crossed the street and cleaned around the car wash, then headed up to the abandoned Dairy Queen.  I could see broken glass driving by.

I found this big bolt on the road, and the broken glass was all over the grass, like somebody blew it off the sidewalk with a leaf blower instead of picking it up!  That's horrible!

I found two more piles of clear glass on the sidewalk in front of the Dairy Queen.  Who does this?

When I got to the light at the entrance and exit ramps, I found all these bolts in the dirt.
The entrance ramp was still pretty clean from the last time I cleaned it, but the exit ramp was awful.  I saw a Keep Akron Beautiful trash bag lying on the ground, but it was all ripped up.  No trash inside it.
I got that all cleaned up with people stopped at the light watching me.

One woman with a disgusted look on her face was talking to me, but the traffic was so loud, I couldn't hear what she was saying.

Here are all the nails and bolts I found tonight.  Most of them were on Wilbeth Road by the entrance and exit ramps.

I only picked up 1,756 pieces tonight.  I should have picked up double that in three hours, but I talked to a lot of people and shared the Channel 3 story.

I had three areas to clean tonight, but I only finished one.

It was a gorgeous afternoon to be outside.
