I'LL NEVER STOP PICKING UP TRASH!

I'm back!  I haven't posted a story to my blog for three months.  That's because I haven't picked up trash for three months.  There's not much trash in Tennessee.  People talk about how beautiful this state is.  That's because there's no trash.

I have a new addition to my family . . . a puppy!  His name is Ray, and he's a Bernedoodle, just like Henry & Stella.  I am so happy with him.  He loves us as much as we love him.

This morning, I took the dogs to the big soccer field behind the Rec Center.  It looked amazingly clean, but it wasn't.  Puppies find every bottle cap, every bandaid, every water bottle.

We didn't stay long.  It was too dangerous.  I started picking up trash in 2023, when Henry cut his nose on a broken wine bottle.  I wanted to make sure it was safe to walk my dogs.  I never meant to pick up a million pieces, but I did.  Now I'm doing the same thing, only I'll never pick up a million pieces.  There isn't a million pieces to pick up here.

I picked up all the water bottles.
Then I picked up all the little stuff, all the dangerous pieces my puppy would find and possibly choke on.
I found a football and a child's water bottle.  I didn't throw these things away.  Maybe somebody will come back for them.

Tomorrow, I'll take my dogs back to this field, and it will be safe.

I only picked up 368 pieces of trash today, but I feel really good that I still care as much as I did when I was in Akron.

I'll never stop picking up trash.
